Terms last updated: 19 August 2025

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our services — the website, the app, and related software or features (collectively, the “App” or “unlock-l.ink”). By using unlock-l.ink, you agree to these Terms and any additional policies linked here or within the App.

When we refer to “we,” “our,” or “us,” we mean unlock-l.ink and our group companies. If you have any questions, please contact us. If you don’t agree with these Terms, please do not use unlock-l.ink.

1. Content Responsibility and App Policy

unlock-l.ink is a content-sharing tool that enables users share their own content. unlock-l.ink does not curate, edit, or verify user-generated content. Users remain solely responsible for anything they upload, share, or distribute.

We enforce content policies that align with legal standards and the requirements set by our service providers (e.g., payment, hosting, and identity verification vendors). Content that violates these standards may be removed. However, unlock-l.ink is not liable for user-generated materials, third-party links, or compliance with any applicable laws by users.

2. External Content and Third-Party Links

unlock-l.ink allows users to link to third-party websites and services. We do not control or endorse any content found on external sites. Users must ensure that any linked content complies with relevant laws and regulations. Access to such links is at the user’s own risk.

3. Content Removal Policy

unlock-l.ink may remove content that violates these Terms, legal standards, or the requirements of our service providers. While we do not actively monitor or curate user content, we may act on reports or where we become aware of violations. Removal decisions are final, and previously removed content may not be re-uploaded.

4. User Acknowledgment

By using unlock-l.ink, you confirm that you accept full responsibility for all content and links associated with your account and profile. You acknowledge that unlock-l.ink is not liable for any legal, reputational, or financial consequences resulting from content you share.

5. Compliance with Legal Requirements

Users must comply with all applicable laws when using unlock-l.ink. Any violation may result in content removal and/or account suspension or termination.

6. Contact Information

For questions about these Terms, content policies, or legal compliance, please contact us at support@unlock-l.ink.

7. Overview of unlock-l.ink

unlock-l.ink is a tool for creators and businesses to organize, and share their own content, including options to restrict access (for example, via paywalls or codes) at their discretion. unlock-l.ink does not act as a marketplace, intermediary, or content curator and does not select or prioritize user content.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our business, the App, or for legal reasons. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. If changes have a material negative effect on you, we’ll notify you in advance where required by law. Continuing to use unlock-l.ink after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Creating Your Account

You must be at least 18 years old to create a unlock-l.ink account. You are responsible for all activity under your account and must keep your information accurate and up-to-date. If you create an account for someone else, you must have their permission.

9.a Age Verification for Accessing Locked Content

To maintain a safe and compliant App, unlock-l.ink requires age verification for all users who wish to access or publish locked content (e.g., monetized content, exclusive materials, premium educational resources, or mature content). Users must be at least 18 years old to create, access, or monetize such content.

Verification may require submission of documents and personally identifiable information (e.g., name, address, date of birth, government-issued ID, selfie, and selfie holding the ID). Additional documentation may be requested depending on your location, local regulations, or payment processing requirements. Verification may be repeated periodically.

Information submitted during verification is handled per our Privacy Policy. Failure to complete required verification will result in limited access to unlock-l.ink features.

10. Username Policy

Usernames must not infringe others’ rights or contain offensive or illegal terms. We may request you change a username that violates these rules; failure to comply may result in suspension or closure. If your account is inactive for six months, we may reclaim or reassign your username after notifying you.

11.a Managing Your Account

You can close your account at any time via the Accounts Page > Close Account. We may close or suspend accounts for reasons including fraud, automated/bot activity, illegal content, or repeated violations of these Terms.

12. Monetization and Payouts

If you qualify for monetization features (for example, receiving tips, payments for access to your content, or similar features), we will notify you. The following apply:

12.a Eligibility for Monetization Features

Geographic Location – You must reside in an eligible country. If you move to an ineligible country, access may be revoked.

Email Verification – You must verify your email to enable monetization features.

Account Standing – Access can be limited or revoked if your account violates these Terms or other referenced policies.

Verified Payout Method – You must connect and maintain an active, verified payout method to receive funds.

12.b Fees and Deductions

We may charge service fees or transaction fees for the use of monetization features. The then-current fees will be disclosed in the App at the point of use and/or in your dashboard, and are deducted before payout. We may change fees prospectively upon notice where required by law.

Compensation Disclosures – Where required by law (e.g., under consumer protection or advertising rules), you must clearly disclose that you receive compensation for content or links. We may provide tools to facilitate such disclosures which you should not disable if enabled.

12.c Payouts

Payouts & Threshold – Payouts are available only when your account has at least US$50 available to withdraw. Payouts are made at Unlock-L.ink’s discretion and there is no fixed payout schedule. Once a payout request is received, we will use our best endeavours to review and process it promptly, subject to verification, fraud-prevention checks, and payment-provider availability.

Payout Providers & KYC – You must connect a third-party payment provider or bank account to receive payouts and complete any Know-Your-Customer (KYC), sanctions, or fraud screening checks required by us or our payment partners.

Your Responsibility for Payout Details – You are solely responsible for providing and maintaining accurate payout details (including legal name, address, tax information, and account details). The payout details on file at the time we initiate processing are the details we will use. Updates made after processing begins will apply only to future payouts. We are not responsible for failed, delayed, or misdirected payouts caused by inaccurate, incomplete, or unavailable payout details or receiving accounts.

Disputes, Chargebacks, and Reversals – If a transaction is disputed, charged back, reversed, or suspected to be fraudulent or in breach of these Terms, we may (i) place a hold on related amounts, (ii) deduct or set-off such amounts from your current or future payouts, and/or (iii) require reimbursement. You authorize us to debit your connected payout method or any balance for negative amounts.

Taxes – You are responsible for determining and paying any taxes (including VAT/GST/sales taxes and income taxes) arising from your use of monetization features. Where we are legally required to withhold or collect taxes, we may do so and remit accordingly.

Currencies & FX – Payouts may be supported in USD, EUR, and GBP (subject to change). Currency conversion or banking fees charged by your provider are your responsibility.

Payment Status Definitions – “Processed” means the transaction is initiated and undergoing standard processing; “Cancelled” means it was voided before completion; “Paid” means funds have been transferred to your payout account; “Hold” means payment is paused pending additional checks.

Termination – If your monetization privileges end or your account is removed, we will pay any amounts that are due and not otherwise subject to hold, set-off, or chargeback. Pending amounts not yet due or closed at the date of termination may be forfeited where permitted by law.

13. Content Standards

Users must not post or link to content involving gambling, pornography, hate speech, exploitation of minors, illegal activities, or any other material prohibited by law or these Terms. We may remove content or terminate accounts that violate these standards.

14. External Content

We are not responsible for the content or availability of external sites linked through the App. Users should review the terms, policies, and practices of any third-party website they visit.

15. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, unlock-l.ink will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill; or damages resulting from third-party acts or content. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the App shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us for the specific service giving rise to the claim during the six (6) months before the event giving rise to liability or (b) USD $100.

16. Data Responsibilities and Retention

We collect and use data to provide and improve our services, consistent with our Privacy Policy. We may send you service and marketing emails in accordance with applicable laws. Personal data is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes collected or as required by law.

17. Legal Compliance

You must comply with all local, state, national, and international laws, rules, and regulations applicable to your use of unlock-l.ink, including sanctions and export control laws.

18. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data. By using unlock-l.ink, you agree to this policy.

19. GDPR Compliance

We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR where relevant, and provide mechanisms to access and manage your data. For questions or to exercise your rights, contact support@unlock-l.ink.

20. Confidentiality

Any confidential information you learn about unlock-l.ink through your use of the App must be kept secure and not disclosed to unauthorized parties.

21. Feedback

By submitting feedback to unlock-l.ink, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that feedback to operate and improve the App, without compensation.

22. Third-Party Services

The App may interoperate with services owned or operated by third parties. Your use of those services is subject to their separate terms and conditions. We do not endorse or assume responsibility for those services.

23. App Terms

By using our App, you agree to comply with these Terms and any applicable app store terms. Some components may be open source, licensed under their respective terms.

24. Disclaimers

The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

25. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your jurisdiction of residence unless a different law applies mandatorily. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts in that jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

26. Contact Information

If you have any questions or concerns about these Terms, please contact us at support@unlock-l.ink.

27. Intellectual Property & Copyright Complaints

You retain ownership of your content. You grant unlock-l.ink a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, and technically process your content solely to operate and provide the App (including to store, transmit, reformat for display, and make it available to those to whom you share links or grant access). You can end this license by removing content from the App, except to the extent we have made copies for backup or to comply with law.

If you believe content infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, contact us at support@unlock-l.ink with sufficient detail (including URLs and your contact information). We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing content and, where appropriate, disable repeat infringers’ accounts.

28. AI-Generated and Synthetic Content

If we offer AI-assisted features, or if you upload AI-generated or synthetically altered content:

  • Prohibited Uses – Do not use AI features or upload AI-generated material to create or disseminate illegal, harmful, deceptive, or otherwise restricted content (including sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, hate or harassment, and instructions for illegal activities). You must also not use AI to impersonate others without consent or to fabricate realistic events.
  • Disclosure & Labeling – If your content meaningfully depicts a real person or event in a way that appears realistic but is altered or synthetic, you must clearly disclose that it is altered or AI-generated and comply with any in-App labeling tools we provide.
  • User Reporting & Safety – We may provide in-App mechanisms for users to report offensive or unsafe AI outputs. You must not interfere with these mechanisms.
  • Review Responsibility – AI outputs can be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing any AI-assisted content before sharing it and for ensuring compliance with these Terms and applicable law.
  • Filtering & Enforcement – We may use safeguards, filters, rate-limits, or disable AI features for accounts that violate these Terms or pose safety risks.

29. Additional Legal Terms

Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless unlock-l.ink and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, liability, and expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, links, use of the App, or breach of these Terms.

Force Majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, labor disputes, internet or utility failures, government actions, war, epidemics, or the acts of third parties.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Severability; No Waiver. If any provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.

Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede any prior or contemporaneous understandings on the same subject.

30. Promotions – "ADD10" Offer

The "ADD10" promotion (the “Promotion”) provides eligible new users with a $10 credit to their unlock-l.ink account. By participating, you agree to the following terms, in addition to all other provisions of these Terms:

  • Discretionary Offer – The Promotion is made available solely at the discretion of unlock-l.ink. We may modify, suspend, or withdraw it at any time without notice.
  • Eligibility – Valid for first-time unlock-l.ink account holders only; limited to one redemption per real, natural person. Duplicate, automated, or fraudulent accounts are ineligible.
  • Good Faith Use – The Promotion may not be exploited or abused. We may withhold or reverse credit for misuse.
  • Age Verification Requirement – Redemption requires successful age and identity verification (18+). Failure to verify results in forfeiture of the credit.
  • Withdrawal Conditions – The $10 credit is not transferable, refundable, or redeemable for cash, and may be withdrawn only once your account accrues an earning balance exceeding $50 (excluding the promotional amount). The Promotion may be applied toward purchases, services, or fees within the App before reaching the withdrawal threshold.
  • Non-Combination – The Promotion cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly permitted by unlock-l.ink.
  • Termination for Breach – If you violate these Terms, create multiple accounts, attempt to circumvent restrictions, or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful conduct, unlock-l.ink may cancel your promotional credit, suspend your account, and pursue available remedies.
  • Governing Law – This Promotion is subject to Section 25 of these Terms and Conditions.

31. Standards Against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)

We operate a zero-tolerance policy toward Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). We design our systems and processes to prevent, detect, remove, and report CSAE content and grooming behaviours. This section sets out our general and specific commitments, the technologies we implement and configure to safeguard users, and how these standards apply across the platforms that host the App.

31.a Laws, Standards, and Frameworks We Align To

We align our safety-by-design approach with applicable laws and recognised industry standards, including, as relevant to your location and our operations: (i) the UK Online Safety Act regime and Ofcom guidance on illegal content and child sexual exploitation and abuse; (ii) the EU Digital Services Act (DSA), including notice-and-action and cooperation obligations, and EU criminal law measures on combating sexual abuse and exploitation of children; (iii) mandatory-reporting obligations where applicable (e.g., to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline in the United States); and (iv) collaboration with national hotlines such as the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) in the UK. We also implement customer due diligence (KYC) and sanctions screening consistent with applicable anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing rules and the FATF Recommendations where we provide paid features.

31.b Platform & Hosting Alignment

Our commitment starts with the platform layer. Each environment that hosts the App (including hosting/cloud providers and app distribution platforms) must have and enforce terms that prohibit CSAE, support lawful preservation and takedown, and enable rapid response to notices. We configure access controls (least privilege), encryption in transit and at rest, rate limits, logging, and automated alerting to support timely detection and response. Where required by law or platform policy, we will geo-restrict access and/or remove content or features.

31.c Technology & Configuration for Safeguarding

  • Hash-Matching & Classifiers – We may use industry-standard perceptual hash matching (e.g., against vetted CSAE hash sets) and safety classifiers to detect and block known or likely CSAE content at upload and when links are shared.
  • Safety Pipelines – All user-submitted content and links are processed through our safety pipeline before being made available. We may apply URL/domain blocklists, file-type restrictions, EXIF/metadata minimisation, and malware scanning.
  • Human Review & Escalation – Content flagged by our systems or reported by users is triaged by trained personnel. Where we reasonably believe CSAE may be involved, we restrict access, preserve relevant data, and report to the appropriate hotline and/or law enforcement as required by law.
  • Auditability – We maintain audit logs of moderation actions and retain records to the extent necessary to meet legal obligations and our Privacy Policy.

31.d Account Creation & Accepted Email Providers

To reduce abuse, we only allow account registration using accepted email providers. Disposable/temporary email domains and certain relay services are blocked. Email verification is required. We may require additional checks (for example, domain control verification for business domains) and will refuse or revoke accounts that circumvent these controls.

31.e Verification, Age Checks & Use of the Unlock-Link Service

The unlock-link service and any feature that enables access to restricted content require users to complete verification and age checks. Users must be 18+. We may require identity verification, liveness checks, and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) / sanctions screening, and we may repeat these checks periodically or on risk triggers. Failure to complete or pass verification will result in denial or removal of access to these features.

31.f Child-Safety by Design Across Features

Wherever a user can interact with any content or service in the App, we have considered child safety. Features are designed to minimise grooming risk, restrict discoverability of minors, and prevent the sharing of illegal content. We do not knowingly permit any use of the App by minors, and accounts suspected to be operated by or on behalf of a minor may be suspended pending verification.

31.g Interactions Are Mediated by Our Systems

Users cannot directly interact with other users via the mechanisms proposed by the App without our systems, which are aligned to these standards, acting in the middle. We do not enable peer-to-peer private messaging, unattended file transfer, or unmoderated live features within the unlock-link service. All permitted interactions are routed through our safety layers and subject to automated and/or human review.

31.h Reporting, Cooperation & Enforcement

  • Reporting – In-App reporting tools and support@unlock-l.ink are available to report suspected CSAE. We assess and act on reports promptly.
  • Mandatory Notifications – Where required by law, we notify the appropriate authority or hotline and cooperate with lawful requests.
  • Account Actions – We may remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, block payments, freeze or reverse funds where permitted, and ban devices or email domains. We may also notify impacted platforms and partners to prevent re-abuse.

31.i Definitions & Scope

For these Terms, “child” means a person under 18. “CSAE” includes child sexual abuse material (sometimes referred to as “CSAM”), sexual exploitation, grooming, and any attempt to solicit or facilitate sexual contact with a child. References to laws and standards are for policy transparency and do not constitute legal advice.
